Every year, Church of the Highlands members come together for a full day to serve their community's neighbors. All across the state of Alabama, the church finds ways to minister to the people around them in a rallying cry for selflessness and service. The Creative Team at COTH captures this monumental event on a Saturday and stays awake through all hours of the night so that this recap video can play on Sunday morning. Over a dozen camera op teams scatter throughout the state in the morning to capture the action, documentary style, and then reconvene in the evening so that the team of editors can create something special with the footage; all within a short amount of time. My role was to direct this project so that the stories being told through service are accurately portrayed in an exciting way. Managing a team of this scale is rewarding on its own and the final product is something that the entire team is proud of every year.
