Summer Blast Cinema 2021

The annual children’s conference held by Church of the Highlands revolves around a new theme every year. This year’s theme was called “Level Up!” and it thematically used video games as the vehicle to teach children about the Bible. These 3 videos tell a story about a group of kids who get zapped into an arcade game and learn valuable principles and lessons along the way. The creative storytelling of this project was only achieved thanks to 3D environments and an LED wall that the actors could interact with in real-time. The art direction, script, acting, and motion graphics all play a major role in the production of this project, but perhaps the most challenging feature was the post-production. With only 5 days between wrap and delivery, a skilled team of editors came together to ship these videos just in time for delivery at the Summer Blast Cinema. I was the post-supervisor on this project as well as my acting debut as Barktholemew III. This project was one of the most fun that I’ve ever had, both on set and in post!
